AI makes order better. It doesn't make disorder manageable.

Many hope AI will clean up the chaos. The opposite happens: with clear goals, clean processes and good data, AI delivers enormous results. Without them, you just get faster chaos.

It starts with the business model, not the model.

My first AI conversation with a company isn't about tools. It's about goals, the business model and the customer experience, and about where the biggest lever is.

Where everything must always run the same way, AI doesn't belong.

Shop to ERP, CRM to ERP, EDI to a trading partner: these have to work exactly the same way every time. That's what clean interfaces are for. There, AI is the watchman that spots anomalies and reacts, not the engine.

Custom software is a real option again.

Companies underestimate how quickly and how well tailor-made software can be built today. What used to be a major project has become a realistic solution.

The change will be radical. We should talk about it honestly.

In a few years much of office work will be done by AI, and a lot of physical work by robots. That creates enormous value and shifts power. Whether we use it for the good of all is the really exciting question. I can't yet really imagine what my children's lives will look like in 15 years.
